Canada wins big for the Semifinals Ice Hockey IIHF World Championship 2017

From Canada, the team headed to France for the World Championship games of Ice Hockey. The games have been witnessed by thousands of fans from all walks of life. The games which begun on May 5, 2017, with the preliminary round, it saw numerous countries sharing a limelight amidst jubilation. Canada Vs Germany – (Lanxess Arena) 18 May, 2017 (Thursday)The preliminary rounds wrapped on May 16, and the next level was opened.

It’s time for the semifinals and team Canada is very vibrant from every corner. The team has put on a spectacular performance leading Group B in Accort Hotels. Canada had rivals that included Finland, Czech Republic, Belarus, France, Norway, Slovakia, and Norway. Canada’s first game was with Czech Republic in which it won by 4 goals on 1. It then headed to defeating Slovakia with 7 goals on 2.

Coach Jon Cooper with his assistants Dave King, Dave Hakstol, and Gerard Gallant are more than happy about their success and the team at large. Canada defeated Finland in the last round of the preliminary games by 5 goals on 2. Though it had already qualified for the semifinals, Canada’s victory proved them to be giants of the season most especially in Cologne.

Canada has won the world championship games 20 times and it is one of the best skating team. To achieve victory, the Canadian team was full amended and new players with better skills were introduced.
Its victory has impressed the fans that also motivated the team, inspiring new skaters for the coming season
The only massive defeat that Canada suffered was from Switzerland in the overtime.

Jon Cooper had this to say “Our guys were playing a little bit angry from what happened two nights earlier, so they had an extra bit in their step, they came out with energy, and determined” Considering the strength of the team, Canada is not in a bad position, though things are becoming tougher than before. In the bid of the quarterfinals, Canada must face Germany the hosting team that is like an angry bird.  Meeting for the last big games will decide where Canada falls at the end, though it will be considered in the 2018 ice hockey World Championship games. Allying the strategies of the teams, could they lead the team, Canada is a wolf that must not be underestimated in this tournament The games still continue in Cologne (Germany) and in Paris (France).
